Cost for the study tour is $3,495 per person, $540 single supplement. The price includes accommodations in four-star hotels for eight nights, eight Irish breakfasts, seven lunches and seven dinners including exclusive private lunches and dinners (one free evening in Galway), daily motor coach transportation including transfers from Galway to Shannon Airport, a guide, all admission fees and taxes and VAT, gratuities, and a voluntary non refundable $250 contribution to the James Renwick Alliance. The cost does not include airfare to/from Ireland and to London, transfers to the hotel on the arrival day, insurance, and other personal and incidental expenses which are the responsibility of each traveler.

Deposits will be refunded as long as a cancellation is made by February 1. Cancellation penalties are at the behest of the tour operator, A Touch of Ireland. A penalty of $350 per person applies to cancellations from February 5 to March 27 and $700 up until April 5. No refund will be made after final payment is made on March 22; and cancellations will be based on the non refundable aspects of the cost. In addition to the $250 contribution to JRA, a $100 per person administrative fee will apply to any cancellations once the final payment is made. Cancellations must be in writing.
Travel cancellation insurance is highly recommended; keeping in mind that travel insurance involves prior existing conditions and must be purchased no later than two weeks from the date of deposit. Also keep in mind that most cancellation insurances apply only to illness, death or for reasons that make getting to the airport impossible.
Departure from the United States should be to the Dublin International Airport on May 4, arriving on May 5, returning to the U.S. or continuing onto London for Collect on May 13. Programming will begin mid afternoon May 5 and will conclude with a farewell dinner on the evening of May 12. An arrangement with the Dublin hotel allows guests to arrive three days early at approximately $200 per room, and requests for additional nights should be made on the initial application form.
Departure from Ireland will be from the Shannon International Airport (Limerick) on May 13 with the transfer bus departing Galway at 9 a.m. Those continuing onto London should book Aer Lingus 384 at 12:25 p.m., arriving at London’s Heathrow Airport at 1:45 p.m. Those continuing on elsewhere are free to depart at their own convenience and are subject to the cost of transfers other than the one above.
All American airline carriers have connecting flights through their hubs to Dublin. Aer Lingus has a nonstop flight from Dulles to Dublin through Boston.
Because, the study tour is a Caucus Level membership benefit, we encourage Caucus members traveling as singles to share the cost of the room with another person or that those who want to upgrade to this level share a membership with another person at $750 a person for the total dual Caucus membership of $1,500. Please contact Sarah Frey at the JRA office to make these arrangements.
