The James Renwick Alliance for Craft is committed to supporting institutions and individuals who are working to improve the research and exhibition of high- level American craft through publication. Our JRA Chihuly Fund is a designated grant program that was first established for the organization by American blown glass sculpture artist, Dale Chihuly specifically to support and produce printed publications based in cataloguing or presenting otherwise the work of mid-level career artists working in fine craft. Publications include printed or online exhibition catalogs, art-theory, history, or criticism books and the like. The fund has been supported since through individual donations and broader fundraising campaigns.
JRA Craft is delighted to announce that application to the Chihuly Fund is now being made available through our website. Grants will be made by an ad hoc committee of the organization.
