The James Renwick Alliance has partnered with Artomatic since 2009 to present some of the top craft from the DC region. This year, in honor of their 20th anniversary, we are delighted to be a proud sponsor of Artomatic 2.0, the first virtual event. Artomatic is a local arts event exhibiting visual and performing artists in vacant spaces around Washington DC.

Rhoda Baer is a kiln-forming artist and established photographer based in Washington DC. Be on the look out for her upcoming solo exhibition at American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center. www.rhodabaerglass.com

2. ​Laurel Lukaszewski
Laurel Lukaszewski is a DC-based ceramic artist, known for her intricate installations and sculptures. You may be surpised to know, the exemplinary piece pictured here measures 7 ft in height.

3. MICHAEL JANIS
Michael Janis, well known glass artist and co-director of the Washington Glass School, creates these detailed figurative works out of fine glass frit. ​www.michaeljanis.com

4. John Littleton and Kate Vogel
Son of the famed glass artist, Harvey Littleton, John Littleton and Kate Vogel are a North Carolina based duo who have been making work since the late 1970s. The jurors were specifically impressed with this newest body of work. ​www.littletonvogel.com

5. ​Susan Larsen AND Patrick Collentine
Located in Northern California, this pair of artists uses mixed media including cast paper, perforated steel, and neon to create their featured works.

6. erwin timmers
If we had a sustainability award, it would go to Erwin Timmers, co-founder of the Washington Glass School, for his innovative use of recycled glass and his focus on environmental concerns.

7. SHARRON PARKER
Artist Sharron Parker is located in North Carolina and was selected for her calming ​trompe l'oeil made completely in handmade felt. www.sharronparker.com

8. bob trotman
Working mostly in wood, ​Bob Trotman is a self-taught sculptor based in North Carolina. www.bobtrotman.com
9. hillary steel
Hillary Steel's textiles are hand dyed and woven, using traditional techniques in contemporary ways. www.hillarysteel.com
