LINDA SLAYEN
Lynda Slayen has over 30 years of experience as an image and color consultant and was the sole owner of Lynelle Boutique in Washington, DC for 25 years. Her success in the image and color consulting field is founded on her 30 years in ladies' and men's retailing and fashion merchandising. She also created her own line of cosmetics to complement her clients' natural colors. Her creativity and professionalism have attracted clients from all professions, including television personalities, Congressional staff members, and business executives.
She has worked with fused glass for over 16 years. She was the manager of the Glen Echo Glass Studio for several years before opening her own studio in Bethesda, Maryland. Her pieces are unique in color and design and have been shown in many venues in the Washington, DC area. Several local boutiques sell her glass. She enjoys various art forms, including mixed media, wire, and inventing fantasy boxes.
Her inspiration comes from natural forms, colors, and textures found in nature. She has taught fused glass for over 10 years from her home studio and various private schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
