Traditional Lost Wax cast Bronze Sculpture with patina. A semi-abstract work that draws on ancient themes of the earth and the feminine forces of nature. Gaia was one of the Greek primordial deities, born at the dawn of creation, the personification of the Earth, and the ancestral mother of all life. This sensuous sculpture is informed not only by Hellenic mythos but also by the rich traditions of the ancient Near East and Neolithic figurines.
Mounted on a custom cut Italian Verde marble base. Artist signed WMRoss, Certificate of Authenticity.
