Now accepting nominations
jracraft 2024 honorees
deadline: SEPTEMBER 8, 2023
Every spring at JRACraft's Spring Craft Weekend, we award four outstanding individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional contribution to the American craft field. For next year's awards, we will be honoring two Masters of the Medium and two Distinguished Educators.

MASTERS OF THE MEDIUM

The Masters of the Medium award recognizes artists for excellence of their body of work in the five craft areas of ceramics, fiber, glass, metal and wood. Masters of the Medium must:
  • Demonstrate excellence in craftsmanship
  • Influence the designated medium
  • Contribute significantly to the craft field

DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR
The Distinguished Craft Educator Award recognizes educators, curators, writers and organizations for their contribution to craft scholarship. The Distinguished Educators must:
  • Demonstrate excellence and innovation in education
  • Influence future artists and craft scholars
  • Contribute to American education in the craft field.

Nomination(s) should identify the artist/educator and provide a short explanation of why this nominee deserves the honor of being a Master of the Medium or Distinguished Educator. The nominations will be vetted by an expert selection panel and selected by a vote of JRACraft members.
